We have thoroughly enjoyed doing Baby Led Weaning with both our girls. They love trying so many different flavours and eat so much. I know the basis around baby led weaning is they eat what you eat BUT it’s always brilliant to find companies that make life that bit easier!
BabyLed Food
Baby Led Food is a great company run by Keith and his family in Northumberland. The company started when their eldest daughter reached weaning age (6 months) and they found lunchtimes more difficult to work around and plan. Like all parents they were on the go and needed quick easy ideas to have prepared for days like those. At home they were often experimenting with different flavours for spreads and gradually spreading their recipes.
BabyLed Spreads
Baby Led Spreads are different flavoured spreads to be used alongside Baby Led Weaning. We were kindly sent a range of the savoury spreads for us to try out with Laide (11 months) and Lola (3). Laide has a dairy allergy so it does always worry me that there are so many things she can’t have. However, with baby led spreads 4 out of 6 of their savory spreads are Dairy Free!
The 6 different flavours are
Ricotta and Bean (contains Dairy)
Avocado, Red Pepper and Tomato (Contains Dairy)
Spicy Pumpkin and Chickpea (Dairy Free)
Green Pea, Rocket and Dill (Dairy Free)

Fun Ideas
We had so much fun trying out the Baby Led Spreads. They can be used as pizza toppings, pasta sauces, in sandwiches, on jacket potatoes, as a dip with bread sticks and so much more!
We had great fun making mini pizzas on wraps with ham and sweetcorn and used the spread as the sauce
Laide also loves pin wheels so we made pin wheels using mini wraps and the spread. She honestly absoutely demolished them!
