Since a certain pandemic and then having a baby towards the end of the pandemic it has meant I just haven’t had a chance to be able to go to the theatre. Well what a show to come back to! Sister Act which is currently touring the UK. Everyone knows the classic Whoopi Goldberg version but you just have to see this production and it will be engrained in your head just the same! Take Me to Heaven will become your anthem stuck in your head!
At the moment the cast of the show include Lesley Joseph, Sandra Marvin, Clive Rowe and Lizzie Bea. Although they are the main famous stars of the show, each and every member of the production were truly stars. Throughout the show the entire audience erupted in laughter.
The powerful voice of Sandra Marvin is an unforgetable Deloris, whilst Lesley Joseph is a brilliant hilarious Mother Superior. Clive Rowe a quiet timid Steady Eddie had the whole audience going wild for his quick change into his sparkly singing and dancing solo. Whilst Lizzie Bea as the naive Sister Mary Robert who stuns everyone will her beautiful voice. The story follows the Deloris having to go into hiding at with the Nuns after witnessing her then boyfriend committing a crime. Deloris quickly brings the outside world into the Nuns and quickly becomes the lead of their very interesting choir! The whole show really does guarantee such a feel good evening.

The show is currently at The Orchard Theatre until Saturday 11th February before continuing it’s tour around the UK until April 2024. I would truly recommend booking for a night out with friends!
