In my last blog post I had looked at three places we can’t wait to visit with our children. One of those areas being Great Yarmouth so I thought I would explore as to the reasons why. As mentioned before our children are 6,4 and 1 so it’s so important to us that we visit places that our children will enjoy. Whenever we go to new places I always make sure to research the area and to see if there are events that could be happening during our stay there. When we go to Great Yarmouth my first place to look for information will be the Visit Great Yarmouth page.
The Beaches
One of the biggest highlights of visiting Great Yarmouth is without a doubt the beautiful beaches. I’ve previously visited on both the hottest of days and the coldest, windiest and wettest of days. Having young children they love to explore the beach regardless of the weather. My children love searching for crabs as well as paddling in the sea. Then what can beat having fish and chips and ice creams on the beach.
Sea Life
My children love aquariums so top of their list when we visit will without a doubt be the Sea Life Centre. Lily is 1 so she’s such a great age to enjoy it and take everything in. The brilliant thing about The Sea Life Centre is that it is big enough to totally captivate all three children but not too big that it all becomes too much for them. Great Yarmouth Sea Life often have so many themed activities on, Peppa Pig was recently visiting and upcoming the Aquarium is being turned into Ascarium with spooky activities happening.
Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach
The Pleasure Beach which opened in 1909 has such a great variety of rides and attractions that are appealing to all the family. It really does have something for everything from the classic log flume to a carousel to the larger thrill seeker rides. My older two girls are such thrill seekers and nothing seems to scare them when it comes to rides! Babs however does not do rides, he is more than happy to stand at the side however in the Pleasure Beach Gardens there are also crazy golf which is certainly more his thing!
