Choosing holidays in UK has certainly been the best option for us as a family. We’ve been really lucky exploring some beautiful areas including Pembrokshire in Wales and places in England such as The New Forest, Milton Keynes and areas around the South East Coast. We’ve recently been thinking about places we would love to visit soon with our three children who are 6,4 and 1.
Great Yarmouth
Back when Babs and I were first together our first holiday was to Great Yarmouth. It was a place that I visited a lot when I was younger and have many childhood memories there. Since having the children we haven’t had a chance to revisit but it is certainly now top of our list. There is so much in Great Yarmouth that appeals to our family especially visiting the beautiful sandy beaches. Not only are there the stunning beaches but there is also the Pleasure Beach and Sea Life Centre. We know the children would certainly love those. Another reason to us loving Great Yarmouth is that it is so central and it is easy to visit other areas in Norfolk and Suffolk.
Exmoor
A few weeks ago during the Summer we visited Minehead, however we were having such a brilliant time whilst staying at Butlins that we didn’t get a chance to explore the local area. We had a brief drive around Exmoor before heading home. This included driving up the notorius Porlock Hill however the girls were devasated that we didn’t get to see any of the Exmoor Ponies. We will certainly be returning to explore Lynton and Lynmouth.
Yorkshire
Yorkshire may be a county but there are so many beautiful places to visit there. Again another place that I visited when I was younger and I know that the children really would love it. There is such a huge range of activties and places of interest. Eden Camp, Flamingo Land and Eureka! are certainly places that would be on our list to visit. Again very much like both Great Yarmouth and Exmoor there are some extremely stunning areas to explore.
