For today’s post the theme is goals, at the end of 2016 I wrote a list of goals I wanted to achieve by the end of 2017. So I thought I would go back and look at a couple of them and see just how many (if any) I have achieved and how I feel about achieving them by the end of 2017. Here is the original post!
I was aiming to reach 1000 Facebook Followers, 2000 Twitter followers and 3000 Instagram followers. Well I certainly haven’t achieved this yet! At the time of writing the post my Instagram was the strongest social media so I thought it would grow as quickly as it had been. I nearly reached 2000 followers and now I’ve dropped down to just under 1700 so it has hardly grown this year. Instagram has the most annoying follow/unfollow game which is so frustrating. I know full well I won’t be hitting 3000 by the end of the year. Twitter I am nearly at 1900 followers so I certainly think it is achievable by the end of the year to have 2000 followers! Facebook is certainly the hardest social media to grow (until recently) I now have just over 700 followers so although it isn’t quite 1000 I know that it has grown a lot.
By the end of 2017 I wanted my DA to be 25, at the end of 2016 it was 16. It has certainly became higher and each month it has been either 23 or 24. I certainly still hope to reach 25 but again it’s one of those that goes up and down.
I wanted to start a YouTube Channel in 2017 and I have! I only have about 6 or 7 videos and have so many more to add! It’s just finding the time to do editing etc. I have just over 100 subscribers which is brilliant and my most popular video is our day out to Drusillas Zoo. My YouTube channel is NotaPerfectParent
As you can see at the top of my page I now have a logo! I had created a couple by myself but they really weren’t that good so a couple of months ago I had one created! Lola points to it and says Loooola!! So it’s a good sign that she loves it as well!
I will do another update with my goals at the end of 2017 and how many more I’ve achieved! Something I have learnt though recently is just how important it is not to focus on numbers. Just to enjoy blogging and write what you want. This was especially emphasized when I was at #BlogCamponBoard on Wednesday!
